Welcome to Saddlemount Cards

If you've been a follower of Saddlemount Cards® on our  various platforms you must realise that Roy likes to create his dog cards ( he's had dogs all his life) but his true passion is with all things Goth & Gothic. Well 2025 is the year he has decided to start a new project to compliment the Gothic range of cards which we have. Now I could give you 3 guesses as to what he's doing but I don't think that you'll guess it in a million years! But I'll give you a minute to see if you can guess..........................................................

Roy's creative juices have been in overdrive lately and he's designing some of his best cards ever so we've decided to retire some of our older designs.

2023 was the year for us to embark on a new adventure ......we've relocated to Scotland! When we got married Roy moved down from Scotland to England on the condition that he would live there for 2 years and then we would both move back to Scotland. Well after nearly 10 years we finally got round to making that move! With the ongoing demands of our business we did not have the luxury of time to be travelling up to Scotland to work out where we wanted to be so as befitting an online business we did all our research online...

I started to write this blog post just as the New Year arrived and I loved the rhyme in the title - well it's now March and I'm only just about to publish it so it's not so new now!  Where has the time gone? Well the short answer is I don't know! Roy has been so busy creating masses of new designs and he has a new "secret" project on the go. First of all let's talk about the new designs - among other things he's been creating a new line of birthday cards, in a graffiti/ street art style....

Many card companies have a particular style to their card designs - there are lots of card companies I can think of where, if their cards where mixed up in a random pile of cards, you would be able to pick them out easily. It could be the image style, or the fact that they only use a particular background, or maybe they only work in a particular medium, or that they have a linked theme.  Now there's nothing wrong with that but here at Saddlemount Cards® we like to mix it up a bit!
